Project Description
Alpine Demolition was hired to conduct the demolition, transportation, recycling, and disposal of an existing single-story retail structure located at 1350 16th Street in Denver, Colorado. Additionally, Alpine conducted the abatement of approximately 1,500 square feet of asbestos-containing material contained in the basement drywall. The asbestos abatement was performed in a full containment. The containment employed negative pressure at 0.020 inches of water, fully functional 3 stage decon, loadout and wetting methods. The drywall textured walls were removed with hand a tool i.e. sledgehammers and crow/flat bars with continuous housekeeping throughout the removal process. Alpine is committed to the use of recycling, 90% of the buildings will be recycled with the steel and aggregate to be reused. This project was completed on time, within budget, and without any safety violations.
